The microfilm archive of the German-speaking press e. V. (MFA) is an association founded in 1965 which is responsible for the archiving of daily newspapers in particular in microfilmed form.

The MFA is based in Dortmund. It works closely with the Institute for Newspaper Research Dortmund and is a member of the Working Group of Non-University Historical Research Institutions (AHF) in the Federal Republic of Germany. V.

The MFA arranges for the backup by microfilming and offers the purchase of working films of these microfilms. The task of the MFA is to promote filming projects - especially in the daily press - and to coordinate them with the institutions involved, to initiate filming projects themselves and to arrange for film duplication.
