Milbert Hansa
The Milbert Hansa was a German tailless glider .
Historical
The magazine " Flugsport " published an article in 1933 about a new flying wing aircraft . A drawing and a photo of moderate quality were attached to the article, based on which the adjacent drawing was created. At the end of 1932, this 12.85 m glider was built by Ing.W. Milbert in Hamburg . The fuselage had a square cross-section and was covered with fabric, but the underside of the fuselage tapered slightly towards the runner. The pilot's headrest ended at the end of the fuselage in a fabric-covered fin. The control was carried out by two-part elevons or separate elevator and ailerons and two rudders at the height of the aileron attachment. Overall, the construction looks like a mixture of Charlotte II , the construction features of Alexander Leo Soldenhoff (rudder arrangement ) and Lippisch Storch V (auxiliary spar for the control flaps 90 ° to the flight direction).
In the flight tests, the machine supposedly showed good characteristics, only the view downwards was moderate. Nothing is known about the further whereabouts.
