Milk fountain (Bad Soden)
The milk fountain (source I) is a state-recognized healing spring in the city of Bad Soden am Taunus . Its water flows, like that of the Justus von Liebig fountain and the warm fountain , into a fountain on Franzensbader Platz.
history
The source of the milk fountain was already known in the Middle Ages. However, it was forgotten by the Thirty Years' War until it was rediscovered in 1700. In the 19th century the water was led into the Nassauischer Hof and used for spa purposes. From 1887 this flowed like that of the warm fountain in the newly built drinking hall . In 1902 the source was redrafted. Since 1955 this has also been flowing on today's Franzensbader Platz.
application
The spring water is used for drinking cures and inhalations . It is a thermal sodium-calcium-chloride-hydrogen carbonate acid. One liter of the source covers 20% of the magnesium, 20% of the calcium, 20% of the iodine and 40% of the iron requirements of a person.
