Milen Ruskov
Milen Ruskow (English transcription Milen Ruskov , Bulgarian Милен Русков ; born June 23, 1966 in Burgas ) is a Bulgarian writer and translator . The themes of his three novels, each of which won various literary prizes, come from the early modern period, when Western culture influenced the Bulgarian Renaissance .
In 1995 he graduated from Sofia University .
Works
- Pocket Encyclopedia of Mysteries (Sofia, 2004); awarded the Southern Spring Prize for literary debut
- Thrown into nature (Sofia, 2008; Thrown into nature, Rochester, New York, 2011); awarded as novel of the year (2009)
- Elevation (Sofia, 2011); won the Ministry of Culture Prize (2012), the National Prize for Literature "Hristo Danov" (2012) and a European Union Prize for Literature (2014).
