Military anniversary cross
The military jubilee cross was donated on August 14, 1908 by Emperor Franz Joseph I on the occasion of his 60th anniversary in government and was the variant of the 1908 jubilee cross intended for members of the armed forces . Almost all military personnel in the army, navy and gendarmerie who were active at the time of the foundation, all crew members, provided they belonged to at least the second year of attendance on the cut-off date, as well as all those warriors without regard to their rank and position who were under the emperor in 1848 Leadership of Field Marshal Radetzky had participated in the campaign in Italy and in a battle.
Medals
The shape of the medal corresponded to the other versions of the anniversary cross 1908: The decoration created by the chamber medalist Rudolf Marschall is a paw cross with a diameter of 37 mm, the cross arms of which are connected by a laurel wreath . The center of the cross is covered by a round medallion with a diameter of 20 mm, on which the portrait of the donor is shown, turned to the left . The regent wears the uniform of a field marshal and the Order of the Golden Fleece . The inscription FRANC IOS I can be seen on the left edge of the medallion . The back of the cross is smooth and bears the two-line years 1848 1908 on the round central shield .
Ribbon
The decoration was worn on a 40 mm wide white triangular ribbon with a 5 mm wide and 3 mm distant red side stripe on the left side of the chest.
