The military base Pirinçlik ( Turkish Pirinçlik Askeri Üssü , English Pirinçlik Air Base ) was a radar station in the Turkish province of Diyarbakır .

The AN / FPS-17 radar system installed in Pirinçlik in 1958 was aimed at the Soviet Kapustin Yar to monitor missile tests. It was closed on September 30, 1997.

As part of the Active Layered Theater Ballistic Missile Defense and the Strategic Concept of NATO from 2010, an AN / TPY-2 radar will be installed in Pirinçlik . Thus, the Pirinçlik military base is part of the planned NATO missile protection shield.
