The Kubinka military airfield ( ICAO code UUMB ) is a military airfield near Kubinka west of Moscow .
The airfield opened in 1938. It is the stationing site of the military aerobatic teams Russkije Vitjasi and Strischi . Inspection flights in the European part of Russia under the Open Skies Treaty begin in Kubinka.
Until at least 1991, the Soviet 234th Guards Fighter Regiment with multipurpose fighter aircraft of the type MiG-23MLD (NATO code name: Flogger-K) and MiG-29 (NATO code name: Fulcrum) were stationed at the military airfield .
