description
The masonry viaduct is on the western edge of Millhousebridge. It leads a not further classified side road over the Annan , which at this point forms the border between the Parishs Applegarth and Lochmaben . As a recessed plate shows, the bridge was built in 1827. John MacCracken did the work. The style of the building is based on the work of Thomas Telford . The Millhouse Bridge spans the Annan with a segment arch . Their span is around 30 m. Its masonry consists of red stone blocks with rusticated , brick-lined arches. Simple parapets made of polished stone blocks delimit the roadway.
