Millhousebridge is a town in the Scottish Council Area Dumfries and Galloway . It is located about six kilometers northwest of Lockerbie and 15 kilometers northeast of Dumfries on the left bank of the Annan above the confluence of the Kinnel Water . Millhousebridge is historically located in Annandale , one of the three regions of traditional Dumfriesshire .

To the north of Millhousebridge are the extensive grounds of the Jardine Hall mansion . Before its demolition in 1964, it was the seat of the Jardines of Applegarth , who had lived in the Tower House Spedlins Tower on the opposite bank of the Annan since the 15th century .
In the 1961 census survey, Millhousebridge counted 76 people.

In 1827 an important crossing of the Annan between Lockerbie and Templand was built in Millhousebridge with the Millhouse Bridge . Today the bridge only leads one side road that connects Millhousebridge via the B7076 to the A74 (M) running about one kilometer to the east .
