The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is a daily newspaper based in Milwaukee . It emerged in 1995 from the merger of the Milwaukee Sentinel (1837) and Milwaukee Journal (1882). The broadsheet newspaper is the highest-circulation newspaper in the US state of Wisconsin with 217,755 copies sold daily (384,539 on Sundays) (as of 2008).

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is part of the Journal Communications group . His journalists have received the Pulitzer Prize three times (2008, 2010 and 2011) . Its predecessor "Milwaukee Journal" also received the Pulitzer Prize repeatedly, around 1917 and 1967 in the " Public Service " category .
