Mineral del Monte , also known as Real del Monte , is a city in the Mexican state of Hidalgo in central Mexico. Mineral del Monte was an important center of mining for silver, gold, copper and tin. Mineral del Monte has been awarded as a so-called Pueblo Mágico (magical place) by SECTUR (Secretariat for Tourism in Mexico).
history
- Pre-Columbian period: The mineral-rich earth is said to have been known to the Toltecs
