Minh Tuyet ( . Vietnamese: Minh Tuyet * 15. October 1976 in Saigon as Trần Thị Minh Tuyet ) is a Vietnamese - American pop singer. Together with her sisters Cam Ly and Ha Phuong, who are both also singers, she appears in the Vietnamese musical show Paris by Night . In Vietnamese-American culture, she is often referred to as the Vietnamese pop princess. Her most famous songs are Lang Thang, Quan Vang Mot Minh and Da Khong Yeu Thi Thoi . Paris by Night has been a large-scale event for the Vietnamese since 1983 for the Vietnamese community.

Life

Minh Tuyết was born into a family of four sisters and two brothers. Minh Tuyết discovered her great love for music at an early age, especially because her father was an avid music lover and hobby composer and is still today. When she was 17, she made her first stage appearance in Saigon, which became a huge success for her and opened the door for her to a career as a professional singer.

In 1997 she went to the United States through an international exchange program and began working there at an early age for Tinh Productions, a music company that primarily produces Vietnamese audio and video media. Her first CD Yeu Nhau, Ghet Nhau was released in 1998 and her first solo DVD Ve Cuoi Duong Tinh in 2002. During this time, she sang different styles of music such as folklore and Chinese-translated pop and rap songs. However, she was mostly only successful with love ballads.

In 2002 she was signed to Thuy Nga Productions, a much better known record company. She then appeared for the first time on Paris by Night 65 with the song Trai Tim Lo Lam. The appearances at Paris by Night seemed to do her career visibly well, as she became Thuy Nga's most successful artist a short time later. Their last published CD was called Yeu mot nguoi, song ben mot nguoi.
