The Mini Paceman was an SUV coupe in the small car segment from the British automaker Mini . The Paceman was first presented at the Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris in 2012 and was only offered as a three-door model. The Mini Paceman concept vehicle was presented to the public at the North American International Auto Show back in 2011 . At the end of 2016, Mini took the Paceman off the market. In contrast to the first generation of the Mini Countryman , the Paceman does not have a successor.

Technology and design

The Mini Paceman is 4.11–4.13 meters long, 1.79 meters wide and 1.52 meters high, the wheelbase is 2.60 meters. The engine outputs are 82 to 160 kW (112 to 218  hp ).

The Cooper S version has a four-cylinder gasoline engine with turbocharging, which provides a nominal output of 135 kW (184 hp) and a maximum torque of 260  Newton meters . The top speed is 217 km / h. The Paceman is offered with four-wheel drive .

The interior is very similar in appearance to the Mini Countryman . Compared to the Countryman, the height of the interior is lower. The trunk has a volume of 330 to a maximum of 1080 liters. The tank holds 47 liters.

The Paceman cost from 23,900 euros, the John Cooper Works Paceman from 36,050 euros (as of 2015). In 2013, 14,687 units of the Paceman were sold worldwide.

John Cooper Works Paceman

With 160 kW (218 hp), the John Cooper Works (JCW) is the most powerful variant of the SUV coupé. It was priced 1150 euros higher than the equally powerful Mini Countryman. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.8 seconds. The vehicle noise can be increased by pressing a sports button.
