The Miniang Island (other spelling Mimang Island ) is an inland island in the Gambia River in the West African state of Gambia .
Miniang Island is located downstream on the Kai Hai Islands . It is approximately 480 meters long and 130 meters wide. The island is a preferred nesting site for numerous herons .
