This is a list of the islands in Gambia .
All islands on the territory of Gambia are listed. With the exception of the Bijol Islands , all inland islands are in the Gambia river or are located in its mouth ( estuary ) to the Atlantic Ocean . The islands are listed according to their order in the Gambia River - from the upper reaches to the Atlantic.
