The park's mascot is the giant Dan (Reus Dan). Mini Mundi took over its oversized sculpture from the bankruptcy estate of the Het Land van Ooit amusement park in the municipality of Heusden, which closed in 2007 . Mini Mundi is home to various rides such as the balloon tower, carousels , a mini train, a swing ship and a roller coaster . There is also a 1,500 square meter indoor playground with bumper cars , a cinema and various play equipment. Area 0–4-Land offers play facilities for small children. There is also a self-service restaurant in the park.

Miniatuur Walcheren

Miniatuur Walcheren was a forerunner of Mini Mundi and was built in what is now the Molenwater City Park in downtown Middelburg. The model system consisted of over 350 miniatures made on a 1:20 scale. Originally, the facility was intended to demonstrate the completed reconstruction of the Walcheren peninsula to visitors to the city after the Second World War . The opening planned for 1953 was postponed for a year due to the Dutch storm flood. The inauguration in 1954 was carried out by Queen Juliana of the Netherlands . Since the exhibition, which was actually only planned for three months, developed into a crowd puller, it was decided to operate Miniatuur Walcheren as an independent park for an indefinite period.

The building miniatures, originally made of wood, were gradually replaced by plastic models and the system was constantly being expanded. When the Mini Mundi amusement park was built, the model layout was moved there and the original site was redesigned into a city park. In the Molenwater city park, only the foundations of the former facility can be seen today.
