Minkowski Medal
The Minkowski Medal is awarded by the German Mathematicians Association for outstanding scientific achievements in mathematics . It is awarded every two years, alternating with the Georg Cantor Medal . It is reminiscent of Hermann Minkowski and is endowed with 2000 euros.
In September 2020 at the ceremony at the DMV annual conference at the Technical University of Chemnitz on the occasion of its 130th anniversary, the DMV will for the first time award the newly created medal, which is to be awarded to mathematicians "who have already earned international recognition through outstanding work" .
