Georg Cantor Medal
The Georg Cantor Medal is awarded no more than every second year for outstanding scientific achievements in mathematics . It was donated by the German Mathematicians Association (DMV) in memory of Georg Cantor (1845–1918).
The award winners should be connected to the German-speaking area. All members of the DMV can make suggestions. The Georg Cantor Medal is awarded by decision of the DMV Presidium together with a certificate at an annual DMV meeting.
