Minuscule 57 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), δ 255 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 291 sheets of parchment (22.5 × 19 cm). The manuscript was dated to the 12th century using paleography .

description

The code contains the text of the New Testament except Revelation with two gaps (Mark 1: 1-11 and the end). It was written in one column with 25 lines each. The code contains psalms and hymns. It contains κεφαλαια, the Eusebian canon is missing.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type and is assigned to Category V.

The manuscript has been examined by Hammond, John Mill , Wettstein , and Gregory.

The Code is currently located at Magdalen College (Gr. 9) in Oxford .
