The Mir Samir (also Mīr Samīr ) is a 5809  m (according to other sources 6059 m) high mountain in the southwestern part of the Hindu Kush in Afghanistan .

location

The Mir Samir is located 150 km northeast of the capital Kabul in the Punschir province . The mountain is located on the east side of the Punjjir river valley .

Ascent history

The Mir Samir was first climbed on July 27, 1959 by Harald Biller , his wife Alma as well as Theo Stöckinger and Hans Vogel.
