Mira Sherdin Craig (born July 31, 1982 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian - American singer.

biography

When Mira Craig was twelve years old, she appeared on the Norwegian TV show "Midt i Smørøyet" with the song "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" by Whitney Houston . At the age of 15 she wrote her first songs and two years later she appeared for the first time at a Noora Noor concert as a background singer.

In 2000 she hit the headlines at Quart festivalen , a Norwegian festival, when she was brought on stage by Wyclef Jean. In 2005 Mira aroused the interest of American rap star Snoop Dogg at the same festival , who released one of her songs on the album Welcome to tha Chuuch: Da album . In 2006 she won the newcomer award at the Norwegian award show "Award-prisen". Craig wrote the Norwegian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 (Hold On Be Strong) , which was interpreted by Maria Haukaas Storeng at the competition .
