Mirosław Szymkowiak [ mʲiˈrɔswaf ʃɨmˈkɔvʲak ] (born November 12, 1976 in Poznan ) is a former Polish football player.
Career
Szymkowiak played for the Polish champions Wisła Kraków until the winter break of the 2004/2005 season and then moved to the Turkish first division club Trabzonspor for a transfer fee of 800,000 euros. He remained there for two years and finished his career without notice to the Turkish first division in the spring of 2007. He is 33-times Polish national team, is also in the 2006 FIFA World Cup squad of the Polish national team .
After finishing his sporting career, Szymkowiak became a sports commentator for the Polish pay-TV channel Canal + .
