Miroslav Župančić
Miroslav Župančić (born May 15, 1949 in Zenica , Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian sculptor .
Life
Miroslav Župančić initially worked as a car mechanic, and has been a sculptor since 1970. He works with stone, wood, bronze and glass.
Župančić lives and works in Zagreb . The artist often spends the summer months on the island of Brač in Dalmatia . He favors working with the abundant high-quality limestone called Brački Kamen.
In the elections to the Croatian Parliament in 2003, he ran for the Stranka hrvatskih branitelja (SHB, Party of Defenders of Croatia), which did not succeed in entering parliament.
