Misak Metsarents ( Armenian Միսաք Մեծարենց , Russian Мисак Мецаренц * January 1886 in Pingian at Harput , † 5. July 1908 in Istanbul ) is a poet was the Western Armenian .

Misag Meedzarents was born as Misag Medzadourian in January 1886 in the village of Pingian des Wilâjets Mamuretül-Aziz , near Kemaliye . In 1894 he moved with his family to Sivas , where he graduated from the Aramian School. Until 1902 he attended the Anatolia boarding school in Merzifon . From 1902 to 1905 he attended the central school in the Ottoman capital Istanbul . However, a tuberculosis disease forced him to leave his education. He died on July 4, 1908 at the age of 22.

Despite his short life, he enriched Armenian poetry with lyrical works. During his lifetime he was able to publish two editions of his poetry: “Dziadzan” (rainbow) (1907) and “Nor dagher” (1907.)
