Mischa ( Russian Миша , also Mishka , English: Misha ) was an illustrated Russian magazine for children and young people that initially appeared in several languages ​​and was printed by Soviet Pravda . The target group was socialist and western countries. It was published in Russian, English, German, French, Spanish, Mongolian, Italian and, at times, Hungarian. The German edition was available from July 1983 to September 1991.

Misha, the mascot of the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, was named after the bear .

The magazine had 32 pages (plus title) and was printed and stapled in A4 format. It was aimed at children between the ages of 7 and 11 and contained colored illustrations, photos and comics , photo reports, legends and sagas , science fiction picture stories, puzzles and a small language course in German.

Since 1992 "Misha" has only appeared in Russian - for the Russian Federation, Belarus and Kazakhstan. The printing took place in the Smolensk Polygraphic Combine. Since 2009 the publisher has been OOO (Russian GmbH) "Detskij illjustrirovannyj žurnal Miža". The editor-in-chief was Nina Grozova, journalist and writer, until the last Russian edition was published in December 2017.
