The mission of the representative of the Secretary-General in the Dominican Republic ( English Mission of the Representative of the Secretary-General in the Dominican Republic , DOMREP ) was a peace mission of the United Nations (UN), which on 14 May 1965, the UN Resolution 203 was decided.

As in 1965 in the Dominican Republic , a civil war broke out, the United Nations sent the mission DOMREP to the the UN Security Council demanded ceasefire monitoring and the UN Secretary-General to report all threats to peace. The mission's headquarters were in Santo Domingo . The representative of the UN Secretary General was José Antonio Mayobre from Venezuela , who was assisted by Major General Indar J. Rikhye from India .

After the agreement on a new government, the mission ended in October 1966.

It consisted of two rotating military observers from Brazil , Canada and Ecuador .
