The Mission sui juris Yining was established from the Archdiocese of Khanbalik in 1320. In 1330 the Mission sui juris Yining was dissolved again.
1898 the Mission sui juris Yining by Pope Leo XIII. rebuilt. The Mission sui juris Yining was founded in 1922 by Pope Pius XI. dissolved.
