Emmanuel Awuah Baffour (born April 2, 1989 in Accra ) is a Ghanaian football player .
Career
society
Baffour started his career in Accra with Ashalaja FC and joined the Liberty Professionals on February 16, 2006 . On July 11, 2008, Baffour left the Liberty Pro's and signed a contract with Tema Youth . At Youth, he developed into a top performer in the Poly Tank Division One League, but narrowly missed promotion to the Globacom Premier League with the team and therefore moved to the first division club New Edubiase United in January 2010 . There he was unable to gain a foothold immediately due to an injury and moved on loan to Division Three League club Astronomies FC in November 2010. After returning to the 2011/2012 season, Baffour scored eleven goals in twelve games for New Edubiase United. After two years for New Edubiase United, he left the club for a trial training session in South Africa at the end of July 2012. After he was able to convince in the trial training session and survived the sports medical examination, he signed a contract with the Mamelodi Sundowns on July 25, 2012 .
National team
After settling in the 2011/12 season when the underdog New Edubiase United for top scorer of the Ghana Premier League had developed, it was surprising by Goran Stevanovic in the 25 players full provisional squad for the African Cup of Nations 2012 in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon nominated . However, he missed the leap into the final 23-man tournament squad. He finally made his A international debut on February 29, 2012 in the friendly against Chile at PPL Park in Chester (Pennsylvania) , USA.
