Tema Youth (officially: Tema Youth Football Club ) is a football club from the Ghanaian city of Tema . Like local rivals Real Sportive, the team plays their home games at the Tema Sports Stadium .
history
For the 2006/07 season Tema Youth rose to the top Ghanaian league for the first time and was nominated by the Ghanaian Association for the CAF Confederations Cup 2007 after several waivers and protests against game ratings and met the Cameroonian representative Les Astres there in the second round . When they did not appear for the first leg in Cameroon, the club was disqualified by the African Association and excluded from all continental competitions for three years. The reason for the non-appearance should have been financial reasons.
At the beginning of 2009 the Austrian Attila Sekerlioglu took over the coaching position from Isaac Opeele Boateng at Tema Youth.
