Mitchell Ridge ( Russian Гора Крутая Gora Krutaja , German 'Steiler Berg' ) is a low and snowy mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Prince Charles Mountains it rises about 2 km west of the Humphreys Ridge in the Goodspeed Nunatakkern .

A team from the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) discovered it in 1957. Aerial photographs were taken as part of this research series in 1958 and 1960. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after John Mitchell, who was a plant inspector at Wilkes Station in 1967 and Mawson Station in 1969 and 1971, who was part of an ANARE team in 1972 to survey the Prince Charles Mountains.
