At the Mediterranean Games , rhythmic gymnastics traditionally only holds a competition in individual gymnastics , there is no group competition.

For the 2009 Games , the qualifying round took place on June 26, 2009. The final on June 27, 2009. The venue was the Palatricalle sports hall in Pescara . 21 gymnasts took part in the competition, 10 of which qualified for the final.
