Chrystalleni Trikomiti ( Greek Χρυσταλλένη Τρικωμίτη , born November 30, 1993 in Larnaka ) is a Cypriot athlete of rhythmic gymnastics .

childhood

Chrystalleni is one of six children in the Trikomiti family. At the age of three she and her sister Loukia, who was two years her senior, started doing rhythmic gymnastics. You quickly recognized her dedication and talent for this sport. At the age of seven she received her first awards in this sport.

Career

She favored the tape as her preferred handheld device in an interview .

Chrystalleni gained her first international experience in the senior sector at the Mediterranean Games in 2009 when she reached the finals in the rhythmic gymnastics competition and secured ninth place. One place ahead of her sister Loukia who also took part in the competition. A year later she competed at the Kalamata Cup in Greece and made it to the finals in three of five disciplines. In the same year Trikomiti won five medals at the Commonwealth Games 2010 . In 2011 she was voted Sportswoman of the Year in Cyprus. At the Olympic Games in London in 2012 , she finished 19th.
