Medium wave transmitter Sigmaringen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The medium wave transmitter Sigmaringen was a medium wave transmitter of the former Südwestfunk in Sigmaringen .

It was used to broadcast a radio program on 827 kHz with 1  kW transmission power. The transmitter went into operation on November 15, 1946 and used a 38-meter-high transmitter mast as a transmitting antenna . The transmitter was shut down in 1964 because the Lake Constance transmitter, which was newly put into operation at that time, took over its tasks.
