Mitten tzwei is a socially critical novel by the German writer Gerd-Peter Eigner , which was published in 1988 by Hanser Verlag .

The businessman Kromminga originally planned a three-week vacation. For him, a negligent dive into the shallow water means paraplegia and an early return home. His brother takes care of the paralyzed man, who in turn deals with his past in writing. The acting persons are equally at a crossroads, since they question the adapted behavior of all others.
