In the middle of life is the 42nd and last studio album by Udo Jürgens released during his lifetime . It was released on February 21, 2014 by Ariola ( Sony Music ).

reception

Opinions on the album differ. While Laut.de is of the opinion that the album is rather "lagging behind the pulse of the times" and a "mixed work", SWR4 goes into raptures and says that the album offers everything you want hoped from the singer, such as "current, time-critical songs, intelligent lyrics and a mix of calm and groovy songs".

The album was recorded by Udo Jürgens together with producer Peter Wagner and with a classical orchestra to a large extent in the Hansa Studios in Berlin . Further production locations were Potsdam and Cologne. In addition to the 80-piece symphony orchestra and a swinging big band, internationally known artists such as the violinist Julian Rachlin contributed to the creation of the album.
