The Diplomatic Society of St. Gabriel (also: Knights of St. Gabriel ; abbreviation: DSSG; German: Diplomatic Society St. Gabriel ) is a Roman Catholic brotherhood of diplomats and consuls . The association, organized as an association of believers , is committed to peace and humanity, it was founded in 1996 at the UN in New York City and has the internationally recognized status of a non-profit organization.

Patron saint and motto

Today's "Diplomatic Society of St. Gabriel" was on 29 September 1996 as "Diplomatic Order of the Knights of Saint Gabriel" in the headquarters of the United Nations in New York City founded. It was founded as a brotherhood and followed the guidelines of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights (IACK). The founding members included five ambassadors and 17 other diplomatic representatives or representatives. Organization and collaboration

The diplomatic society is a non-profit organization and is financially supported by membership fees (50.00 USD / year) and donations . The one-time admission fee is 200.00 USG. Sustaining members can also be accepted into the society, their annual contribution is USD 100.00. The Society of St. Gabriel is an associated member of the International Alliance of Catholic Knights and works closely with the Franciscan organization Militia Immaculatae (abbreviation: MI, German: Soldiers of the Immaculate) founded by Father Maximilian Kolbe . The society is a member of the international non-governmental organization , it works with the US military ordinariate in Washington, DC , supports the Archdiocese of Manila in partnership and is also represented in UNESCO .
