The Mitterling Glacier is a glacier on the Foyn coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows between Mount Vartdal and Mount Hayes in a northerly direction to Mill Inlet .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1976 after the American historian Philip I. Mitterling, author of the book America in the Antarctic to 1840 from 1959.
