Medium corpuscular hemoglobin

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The mean corpuscular hemoglobin ( English mean corpuscular / cellular hemoglobin , MCH, Hb E ) describes the mean hemoglobin content in the red blood cells ( erythrocytes ). In healthy people, this value is between 28 and 34 picograms . It can be calculated by dividing the total hemoglobin content of the blood by the number of erythrocytes:

The MCH is also determined in a small blood count . The value changes largely with the MCV .
