Hypochromasia

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As hypochromasia refers to insufficient loading of red blood cells to the blood pigment hemoglobin . The red blood cells show only a narrow hemoglobin border in the blood count ( anulocytes , "ring cells"), the MCH value is lowered. Hypochromasia is typical of iron deficiency anemia or lead poisoning .

An increased load of the red blood cells with hemoglobin is called hyperchromasia , a different polychromasia .
