The Moberly Lake is a lake in the northeast of the Canadian province of British Columbia . The lake was named after Henry John Moberly (1835-1931) of the Hudson's Bay Company , who was the head of the Jasper House trading branch in 1859 .

The 27.6 km² large Moberly Lake is located on British Columbia Highway 29 between the towns of Chetwynd in the south and Hudson's Hope in the north. The foothills of the Canadian Rocky Mountains stretch to the west of the lake and the Peace Plateau to the east . The lake is at an altitude of 692 m . The lake measures 14 km in west-east direction, the maximum width is 2.2 km. The Moberly River , a tributary of the Peace River , flows through the lake in an easterly direction. On the north shore is the Moberly Lake settlement . On the south bank is the 98 hectare Moberly Lake Provincial Park .
