Course of the road

The British Columbia Highway 29 in the western Canadian province of British Columbia located in the northeast of the province.

It begins on the southern edge of Tumbler Ridge and leads first to the northwest, then to the northeast. It ends after 150 miles at Charlie Lake Provincial Park , near Charlie Lake , where it joins Highway 97 .

Route

The highway branches off from Highway 52 in a westerly direction. It runs along the valley of Bullmoose Creek, but leaves it again when it turns to the southwest. The highway follows northwest and touches the Gwillim Lake Provincial Park . Further northwest the route leads into the valley of the Sukunka River , past Twidwell Bend to Chetwynd . There, Highway 29 meets Highway 97 for the first time on the eastern outskirts and runs about 1 km with it to the west. In the center of Chetwynd the highways split again, Highway 29 follows north and meets Moberly Lake . The highway runs along the northern bank, at the end of the lake the highway runs northwest again to the Peace River . He follows this in a north-easterly direction to Bear Flat . The highway follows east towards Charlie Lake, where it ends on Highway 97 northwest of Fort St. John .
