The British Columbia Highway 101 is located in the southwest of the Canadian province of British Columbia . It has a road length of 139 km, but the highway is supplemented by a ferry crossing 19 km in length. The highway begins at Langdale Ferry Terminal near Gibson Township and ends in Lund . With the exception of the section from Powell River to Lund, the highway is part of the Canadian National Highway System as a so-called "feeder route" (feeder route) .

Route

The highway begins at Langdale Ferry Terminal. Ships from Horseshoe Bay , Keets Island and New Brighton arrive there . The highway runs to Madeira Park along the coast on the Strait of Georgia , hence the name of the highway: Sunshine Coast Highway. The highway follows east inland to Kleindale and from there north. Passing Ruby Lake , the highway meets the coast to Earls Cove Ferry Terminal . The first section of the highway ends there. After a ferry ride of about 50 minutes you will reach the Saltery Bay Ferry Terminal , where the second section of the highway begins. The highway continues to follow the coastline to the west and swings north at Powell River , where it passes the Westview Ferry Terminal . The highway ends in the center of Lund.
