The under Mary Hill Bypass known Highway 7B in British Columbia forms a connection between Highways 1 and 7 . It is expanded to four lanes on the entire route. The route is to be expanded further as part of the North Fraser Perimeter Road expansion program . The highway begins on the Trans-Canada Highway in Coquitlam and runs along the north bank of the Pitt Rivers . After 9 km the route joins Highway 7. Sections of the highway are known as the core route , part of the Canadian National Highway System .
