The Highway 3B in the Canadian province of British Columbia provides an alternative route to Highway 3 , known as the Crowsnest Highway . This route opens up the communities south of Castlegar . The highway has a length of 68 km.

Route

Highway 3B branches off about 25 km west of Castlegar from the Crowsnest Highway in a southeast direction. It leads to Rossland , where Highway 22 coming from the south meets Highway 3B. There is a possibility of crossing the border into the United States via Highway 22 . The Highway 3B runs in common with the Highway 22 to the east into the city of Trail . There the Highway 22 branches off northwards towards Castlegar. Highway 3B continues east through the community of Montrose . There the Highway 22A branches off to the south. Highway 3B swings northeast, traverses Fruitvale Township, and then joins Highway 3 again.
