The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is a district in the Canadian province of British Columbia . It is 22,094.94 km² and counted 59,517 inhabitants (2016). In the 2011 census, the district had 58,441 inhabitants. The main town is Nelson .
Basically, Pacific Standard Time applies in the Regional District of Central Kootenay , Mountain Standard Time only applies in some eastern areas of the district . This only applies in the area east of the Kootenay River and Kootenay Lake . In larger parishes, only Creston is affected.
