The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District is a district in the Canadian province of British Columbia . It is located on the west coast of Vancouver Island , is 6,589.15 km² and has a population of 30,981 (2016). The 2011 census identified 31,061 residents. The main town of the district is Port Alberni .
