The Capital Regional District is a district in the Canadian province of British Columbia . It includes the southern tip of Vancouver Island , the southern Gulf Islands and other small islands. The district is 2,340.49 km² and has 383,360 inhabitants (2016). In the 2011 census, the district had 359,991 inhabitants. The main town is Victoria .
