The Peace River Regional District is a district in the Canadian province of British Columbia . It is 117,387.55 km² and has 62,942 inhabitants (2016). In the 2011 census, 60,082 residents were identified. The main town is Dawson Creek . In terms of area, it is the second largest district in British Columbia , just behind the Stikine Region .
Unlike most of British Columbia, most of the Peace River Regional District is not Pacific Standard Time , but Mountain Standard Time .
