Course of the road

The British Columbia Highway 26 runs in the center of the western Canadian province of British Columbia . It lies between the towns of Quesnel and Barkerville and has a length of 82 km.
Route
At Quesnel Airfield, north of the city of Quesnel, Highway 26 branches off from Highway 97 in an easterly direction. The highway leads to Cotton Wood and from there to the middle layers of the Cariboo Mountains . The route opens up the parish of Wells and finally the gold rush town of Barkerville.
The road then continues, although no longer marked as a highway, to the east, where the Bowron Lake Provincial Park is reached.
