The British Columbia Highway 30 is a road in Canadian British Columbia . It runs through the northern part of Vancouver Island . The highway branches off between Port Hardy and Port McNeill from Highway 19 (Vancouver Inland Island Highway) in a southwestern direction and ends after 37 km in the town of Port Alice . The route passes two lakes, Sara Lake and Alice Lake , and it also passes Marble River Provincial Park .
The street sometimes operates under the unofficial proper name "Port Alice Road".
